Help political prisoners and their families

The mass and systematic imprisonment of activists and dissidents is the Cuban regime’s most common practice to enforce obedience and instill fear. The nearly 1,100 Cuban political prisoners are treated as common criminals, denied legal protections, and subjected to repeated harassment, blackmail, torture, and degrading and inhumane treatment.

ALAS develops aid projects for political prisoners, ensuring that assistance reaches the beneficiaries directly through independent actors in Cuba. Our first pilot project to support political prisoners temporarily alleviated the situation of 100 families of activists and dissidents unjustly imprisoned.
